The Vineyards of Montmartre: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Paris 🍇
Montmartre, known for its artistic history, also boasts a hidden treasure: its vineyards. 🍷
The most famous, Clos Montmartre, produces around 1,500 bottles of wine each year.
This wine tradition dates back to the 17th century when locals consumed a modest, homemade wine.
After a renovation in 1930, the focus shifted to producing high-quality wine.
Every October, Montmartre celebrates the harvest with a lively festival featuring a parade of local associations and wine confraternities. 🎉
